  • Adams v. Iowas Oil Co., CCH BFG 8008 (Iowa 5-18-83)

Damage relief sought by franchisee's widow and partner for franchisor's alleged attempt to coerce termination included common law claims of breach of contract, intentional interference with both a business contract and a business relationship, invasion of privacy, disclosure of private facts and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The court denied summary judgment to franchisor and rejected the contention that those claims were preempted by the PMPA.
