
Kentucky Emergency Response Act
Summary
Kentucky's Emergency Response Act requires notification of the release of a hazardous substance as defined under CERCLA. Under Kentucky law, immediate notification must be made to the Commonwealth, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet's (Cabinet) twenty-four hour environmental response line. The Kentucky Emergency Response Act also requires notification of a release of an extremely hazardous substance as defined under SARA Title III to the Cabinet's emergency response line.
